Airsoft Paintball Land Mine 40mm Grenade Compatible Olive Green
40MM GRENADE NOT INCLUDED!
The Rattlesnake, an airsoft anti-personnel land mine. Designed to accept most 40MM MOSCART grenade as the main charge, this mine allows you to use your existing airsoft grenade launcher shells to make a loud bang when trodden on.
•Can be used for airsoft, paintball, Milsim, gelsoft, re-enactments etc.
•Fast and easy to arm and deploy. To arm simply lift the lid, snap in a loaded 40mm shell and lower the lid gently.
•No tools needed for resetting! Pull out the spent shell and replace with a fresh grenade (Only arm mine in situ).
•Large trigger plate covers the entire top of the Rattlesnake airsoft mine, giving a greater chance of an enemy triggering it.
•No tools needed for resetting! Compact and easy to carry. 2 can be carried in a Claymore bag.
•Can be partially buried or hidden under leaves, long grass or any other loose, lightweight material.
This Rattlesnake airsoft anti-personnel mine works best with open-front grenades (like the S-Thunder Shocker) as they're arguably the loudest 40mm shell. You could fill a shell with powder (flour, talcum powder etc.) like in the example shown to create a more obvious explosion and to potentially mark it's victim.
Using the Rattlesnake:
Find an appropriate area, ideally a pathway, track or bottleneck where the enemy is likely to pass through. Remember to take into account friendly movements.
If necessary, dig a small depression in the ground, leaving room for the grenade to fire out through (i.e don't pack the earth around the mine). The mine should only be buried up to the hinge pivot. Keep earth and debris out from underneath the trigger plate as any solid matter may stop the plate from moving enough. Make sure to create a pathway for the grenade to fire out if you want the gas and/or powder effect.
Once you're happy with the placement of the mine, open the lid and clip in a fresh 40mm shell. Do not let the mine slam shut, you can guess what will happen if you do. Lower the trigger plate gently, pulling the grenade forward if necessary. The Rattlesnake mine is now armed.
If necessary, cover the mine with lightweight matter (leaves, grass, camo netting etc.). Always alert friendlies to the mine's location, it may also be worth notifying a marshal to its location.
If you need to disarm the mine, gently lift the lid and pull the shell out of the clip. Treat airsoft grenade shells with utmost caution as they can fire if dropped onto a hard surface, keep them stored safely.
Please use responsibly. Airsoft site rules apply, check with your site before use. I am not responsible for any misuse or malicious operations with this device. Wear eye protection. Arm only in situ, disarm at end of game. Do not transport loaded. As with airsoft guns, assume the mine is loaded and ready to fire until proven otherwise. Do not pick up a loaded airsoft mine.
Dimensions: 125mm long x 125mm wide x 70mm tall (unloaded, trigger plate rises slightly when loaded)
This airsoft land mine is 3D-printed and has a slightly rough finish and has been sanded down in some areas to remove burrs and sharp edges, the finish does not affect functionality. Painting or otherwise camouflaging the mine is recommended to help blend into the environment you play in.
